Swayze
Hi, I'm Swayze, an approximately 18-month-old pug with a sweet personality, a handsome face, and a whole lot of love to give. Some might say I'm like a cool breeze on a summer day, bringing a little extra charm wherever I go.
I'm a young guy, so I naturally have some puppy energy, but right now I'm taking life a little slower while I go through heartworm treatment. The good news is that I'm doing great. I settle nicely in my crate, sleep quietly through the night, and have been a very good patient. Pug Rescue of Austin is covering all of my heartworm treatment and veterinary care, so all I need to focus on is getting healthy and finding my forever family.
I'm crate trained and doing well with my house training. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoy having canine friends around. My experience with cats is unknown. I love people and have never met a stranger. Because I'm a strong, enthusiastic boy, I would do best with children over 8 years old while I continue working on learning my manners.
My foster says I have a really nice demeanor, and I think that's the perfect way to describe me. I'm happy to enjoy a toy or chew bone, spend time with my people, and then relax nearby. I've got plenty of charm without needing to be the center of attention all the time.
These days, my main job is resting, recovering, and dreaming about the family I'll call my own. Once my treatment is behind me, I'll be ready for all the adventures life has in store. Until then, I'm proving that I've got all the right moves when it comes to being a wonderful companion.
If you're looking for a sweet young pug who is equal parts lovable, friendly, and devoted, I hope you'll give me a chance to dance my way into your heart.
