Marty
Hi, I’m Marty, a one year old male pug mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. My first foster mom likes to joke that I am Marty, so smarty, and the life of the party, and honestly she might be onto something. I am curious, playful, loving, and full of energy, but I also appreciate a good nap when the excitement settles down. I sleep quietly in the bed at night and I am proud to say I am house trained. I love to chew, so I keep plenty of toys around to stay busy.
I can be a little shy at first, especially with men or new people coming into the house, but once I feel safe my sweet side comes out quickly. I am working on my crate training, but I prefer to be free when I can, and I have been earning trust by showing I can roam the house responsibly. I seem happiest when I have another dog around because having a buddy helps me feel confident and gives me someone to play with. I have not met cats or kids yet, so I am still figuring out how I might do with them, but I am young and eager to learn with the right introductions.
I am bright, affectionate, and ready for a family who will appreciate my playful spirit and my gentle heart. If you are looking for a fun, loving companion who brings joy wherever he goes, I would love to meet you. The Marty party is just getting started, and I hope you will join in.
