Shamrock
Top of the morning to you. My name is Shamrock and I’m a five year old male pug who believes that the best kind of luck comes with a curly tail and a big heart. I’m the kind of pup who sticks close, melts into your side and makes every day feel a little brighter just by being there. I adore cuddling, I bond quickly and I greet my favorite people with a funny little howl‑ee sound that always makes them smile. Other than that I’m not much of a barker. I walk nicely on a leash, I enjoy benebone type chews and I love big colorful plush toys. If you let me sleep on the bed I’ll feel like I’ve hit the jackpot.
I’m working on house training and crate training and everyone thinks I’ll make even more progress once I’m neutered. I’ll also be going through heartworm treatment and the rescue covers all of that. I get along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and when it comes to play I think I’m better matched with pups my size or bigger. I haven’t met a cat yet but my foster mom thinks I’d likely do just fine. I’m still learning some manners and I love climbing into laps for kisses so I’d probably do best with older kids who can appreciate my affectionate enthusiasm.
I do have partial vision loss and dry eyes but it doesn’t slow me down. I learned my way around the house and yard quickly and I handle my twice daily eye drops like a pro. I’m a pretty chill guy who isn’t overly active and I’m happiest simply being near the ones I love.
If you’re hoping to add a little extra luck, loyalty and love to your life, I might be the Shamrock you’ve been waiting for.
