Volunteers must be 16+. Those under 16 can participate with a parent or guardian.
Applicant Screener
Love pugs and want to make a difference? Our Applicant Screeners play a crucial role in helping pugs find their perfect forever homes!
In this volunteer role, you’ll:
✔️ Contact adoption and foster applicants
✔️ Review their applications over the phone
✔️ Reach out to personal references and veterinary offices for vet checks
This is a rewarding opportunity to ensure our rescued pugs are placed in loving, well-matched homes. Every call you make brings a pug one step closer to their happily ever after!

Holiday Gift Wrapping Coordinator
Who loves gift wrapping, pugs, and organized holiday chaos? Pug Rescue of Austin is searching for a Holiday Gift Wrapping Coordinator to help lead one of our biggest fundraisers of the year at Barton Creek Mall! This fun (and fast-paced) seasonal role includes organizing volunteer gift wrapper shifts, coordinating schedules and supplies, sending reminders, and helping keep everything running smoothly from Black Friday through December 24.
We’re looking for someone organized, responsive, social-media savvy, and ready to make a huge difference for pugs in need. It can get a little hectic during the holiday rush, but it’s incredibly rewarding — and comes with plenty of pug love along the way.

PRA Events
Want to Help at PRA Events? We love that so many people want to volunteer at our events! The great news is that our amazing foster families and adopters often step in to help, so we don’t always need a large number of extra hands.
