Hi there, I am Evie, and I am the little Chug who will steal your heart before you even realize it. I am two years old, full of sweetness, and I have been discovering how wonderful life can be now that I am safe and loved. I adore being close to my people and I am happiest when I can curl up beside you on the couch or snuggle in bed. I am an easygoing girl who just wants to be part of whatever you are doing.

I am house trained, potty trained, and have good manners. I enjoy going for walks and I am very good on leash. I ride nicely in the car too. I can live in an apartment or a house and I can be an only dog, but I really enjoy having another dog around. I like following their lead and it helps me settle into new situations. I am adaptable, eager to please, and always trying to understand what you want from me. I especially love playing with small dogs and children. I have not spent time with cats yet, but with a thoughtful introduction I think I would settle in just fine.

When I first came to rescue, I didn’t know what play was, but once I learned, I discovered how much I love it. Once I feel comfortable, I get the cutest zoomies that make everyone laugh. I also have a few quirks that make me extra charming. I absolutely love apples and think they are the best treat ever. I also find shoes very interesting, so a little reminder helps me remember what is and is not a toy.

I am a special little dog who just needs time, love, and a gentle hand to continue growing. I am ready for a family who will see the sweetness in me and enjoy all the small, happy moments I bring to a home. If you open your heart to me, I will give you quiet devotion, soft snuggles, and a kind of love that feels steady and true. I have been waiting for someone to choose me, and I hope when you read my story, you feel that I just might be the one you have been looking for.
