Hi, I’m Rio—river of energy, heart of gold. At 18 months old, I’m a Chug (that’s a charming little Chihuahua + Pug mix), and I’m basically a bundle of joy with legs. I love to run, jump (seriously, I can fly), and play with my dog friends. I’m super smart, so my foster family gives me puzzle feeders and enrichment toys to keep me engaged, and I love them. I’m also crate trained, sleep through the night like a champ, and I’m almost totally potty trained (just wear a belly band as backup for now).

I’m curious about cats but very respectful, and I’d be happiest with older kids or playful dogs who love a good zoom session. I’m super affectionate and very snuggly once I’ve gotten my energy out. I’ll be your loyal shadow, your hiking buddy, and your couch cuddlebug all in one.

I respond well to redirection, I want to please, and I’ve got a sweet, goofy spirit that flows through everything I do.
