Shelby
Hi, I’m Shelby. I’m a sweet, shy, 2.5 year-old-girl. I am slowly coming out of my shell. What I want most is to learn and be loved. I’ve likely lived outside for quite awhile, but I am already learning new tricks and manners.
My foster mom and I are working on “sit” and “stay,” which are hard for a puppy but I am very food motivated and catching on to both of these commands quickly. My favorite thing about learning new tricks is that I get a treat when I do what I’m supposed to. My foster mom loves giving me treats when I go potty outside, when I sit, and when I stay. I also thrive on getting praise. I really love being a good girl.
Just like every pug, I get very excited about my meals. I’m learning that my bowl will not be set down until I sit. Sometimes it’s so hard to sit still when all I am so excited to eat, but I’m getting it! My foster mama says that I’m a quick learner and that she’s so proud of me. When I need a nap, I like snoozing in my crate. I also like to sleep in my crate at night. Even though I love my crate, I can do fine outside of it when I’m left home alone. I usually just hang out in the kitchen and listen to some slow jams while I wait for my foster mama to get home. I love to play with other dogs and I love a toys and a good chew stick. I’m quickly learning how to take a walk on leash as well.
My perfect family would patiently continue work with me on commands, give me lots of love and let me be an inside dog. I am a true lovebug and will be a perfect family member. If you think we could be a match, then get your application in for me- Shelby the Chug with the "pink heart on her nose."
