Chip
Howdy! I’m Chip, a two-year-old male pug looking for my new home. I’ve been described as a snuggly, loving, velcro pug. I’m a little timid when I meet new people, but within minutes I’m opening up. I just love the attention and have to ask for more. I’m usually very calm. I prefer to nap and be near my people, but on occasion, I get the zoomies and bursts of energy. In my free time, I enjoy learning to play with toys, being held, being carried around, and sleeping with my head on a person or pillow.
I get along well with other dogs. I play with younger dogs and enjoy snuggling with older dogs. I am quite the gentleman, so I don’t like partaking in some activities with other dogs, like chasing squirrels or birds. I have to admit that while I like other dogs, I’m primarily a people pug.
I’m doing great with potty training, and I’m crate trained. Because I love my people, I get a little upset if I’m in my crate and can hear people. I am currently heartworm positive, but I’ll be undergoing treatment soon, and the Pug Rescue of Austin will make sure all of my medical needs around heartworms are met.
