Aspen
Looking for a sweetheart to join your family? Then look no further! I’m Aspen and I’m a true gem.
I love all people, including kids. I’m a cuddle monster and my favorite place to be is in a lap. If you’re sitting, I’ll come snuggle up and keep you company. I would fit in well in a home with other dogs and cats. I do occasionally chase my cat friend, but that’s only when she bolts in front of me and I know to stop and settle down when my foster parents tell me to.
I’m a very quiet girl who typically only barks to alert my people that someone is at the door. Loud noises like fireworks and thunder don’t bother me. In fact, I can sleep right through them. Really, if there’s not a lot going on, you’re likely to find me sleeping.
When I get my outside time, I LOVE to run. I do need to be on a leash because if I’m not my little legs have a tendency to carry me off! I just get so excited that I can’t control my little running legs. I’ve gotten used to the leash since being with my foster family and I don’t pull much at all anymore. When I’m in the fenced yard, I will come to get my leash put back on me when I am called. Because I do like to run free when I’m not on a leash or in a fenced yard, I’d really do best in a home with a big fenced yard. I’d also love to have some kids to play with.
I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been with my foster family. I know how to sit for my meals and when I am going to get a treat. I can’t wait to show you how I can “sit pretty” and let you place a treat in my mouth. I’m also house trained.
My foster family says that they know that I’ll find my forever family quickly because I’m impossible not to fall in love with. I sure hope so! If you’re interested in learning more about me, then please submit an application today and tell them that Aspen sent you.
