Hola, I’m Javiar, an 8-year-old Chug with a very big heart and a serious love of being close to my people. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who wants to be by your side, I might be your guy. I’m very sweet and affectionate, and I love being your little shadow. I’ve been friendly and comfortable with everyone I’ve met, and I’m extremely food motivated, which makes me eager to learn.
I came into rescue with a severely broken back leg that ultimately had to be amputated, but don’t let that fool you. I’m doing amazingly well on three legs and have adapted beautifully. I’m ready to keep enjoying life and all the good things it has to offer.
I’m good with other dogs, and I’d love a home where someone is around a lot and enjoys having a Velcro dog by their side. I’m still new to rescue and learning that I’m safe and that my people will come back, so I’m looking for someone who will be patient with me as I build my confidence. I can be vocal when left alone right now, but with time, patience, and reassurance, I’m confident that I could become, well, more confident. I’ll also need to be supervised outside because my love of food sometimes gets me interested in things I probably shouldn’t eat.
I’m not a big fan of car rides, but I am a big fan of people, cuddles, and being part of a family. I’d love to find someone who will give me the time and love I need to feel completely at home, because my life before rescue wasn’t always easy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly sweet little companion who will be happiest right there beside you.
