A Wish for Star

Contribute to Star’s medical care and recovery

Fundraising goal: $6,500

Funds raised would cover surgery and follow-up care to get her ready to go home to her new family.

UPDATE

Star still has quite a way to go but is definitely making strides. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, donations and positive vibes!

She still is on pain meds every 8 hrs as this was an extremely painful fracture and repair.

She is able to walk without a sling now, she actually squatted for the first time a couple days ago and just today she urinated on her own instead of having to have someone express her bladder!

Star found a safe place with our rescue after being hit by a car. It was a severe life-or-death situation, but we were able to save her.

Although she is still undergoing care, we are optimistic about her recovery. She has made it through her first surgery and now has a pin and bolt holding the wings of her pelvis together.

She has a fighter’s spirit and is already able to walk with sling assistance. She currently needs to have her bladder manually expressed, but our team believes she will soon be able to go to the bathroom on her own.

She is a sweet and loving baby so grateful to have found a pug-loving group of people to nurse her back to health.

Total medical expenses to save Star are estimated to be about $6500, and we appreciate all the help we can get!
