Hi, I’m Cheeto, an eight-year-old pug who has perfected the art of taking it easy. I’m a professional cuddler, expert couch potato, and big fan of being wherever my people are. My favorite spot is curled up next to you while we watch TV, although every now and then I get the zoomies, grab a toy or stuffy, and remind everyone that I’ve still got plenty of playful energy.
I have a funny little stubborn streak and definitely know how to get what I want. An extra treat? A little more couch time? I’m pretty persuasive when I put my mind to it. I’m also crate trained, and my crate is actually one of my favorite places to hang out, even with the door open. It’s my own little safe space.
I love people and enjoy making new friends. I’m happy to go along for short walks, patio happy hours, or pretty much anywhere I can spend time with my people. I’m not a fan of the Texas heat, though, so I’m definitely an indoor kind of guy when summer rolls around.
I’d really prefer to be the only dog in my forever home, especially since I’m happiest when I don’t have to share the spotlight. But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy other animals! I’ve become quite fond of my foster’s sister’s two hairless cats. I love following them around and even playing with their toys. I do well with other pugs, but big dogs aren’t really my thing.
If you’re looking for a goofy, cuddly sidekick who will happily keep you company on the couch and occasionally surprise you with some zoomies, I’m your guy. I’ve been waiting a long time for my forever home, and I think it’s about time we found each other.
