Hi there, friends.  My name is Sylvester the pug! I’m an eight-year-old male pug. 

Yes, I’m missing one of my eyes but I can see just fine.  I came to the rescue as heartworm positive, I’ll be recovering soon enough with proper treatment and care. The Pug Rescue of Austin will cover the cost of my heartworm recovery should I be adopted while healing.  

Let me be a reminder to keep your dogs on monthly heartworm prevention! This is a potentially deadly disease!  But, my outlook is good and I expect to make a full recovery.
