Hi! I’m Shamu. Don’t let the name scare you. The only thing big about me is my heart. I’m 9 years young and I always have a smile on my face.

People tend to fall in love with my free spirit and cute face when they meet me. Who can blame them? I mean, just look at my tongue hanging out of my mouth!

I’m a laid-back fellow that likes to sleep on a soft pillow and sunbathe when I wake up in the morning. I also go a little nuts when I come across a good chew toy. For some reason my foster wasn’t impressed when I tried showing her how to play with toilet paper by running up and down the hallway with it. I’ve noticed she stopped leaving the bathroom door open. It probably has something to do with the cat.

I’m potty trained but sometimes get a little excited when I’m in a new place. I’m in good shape for my age, but still need a little help jumping up and down from the bed or furniture. I also don’t mind having some relaxing “Shamu Time” in my kennel if you need to go to the pet store to get me some treats.

I’ve been told that I’m territorial of my food and toys, so I may do best in a home where I’m an only dog or a home of someone who is good with dog training and setting boundaries.

I get along just fine with cats, even though they make this odd meowing noise. I haven’t quite figured out how they do that. I’m just a fun, super sweet, pug that needs someone to love me as much as I love them, which is a lot! If you have a whale of heart, I sure would like to come live with you and be your buddy forever.
