Rainbow Bridge – Gustav
On August 4th we said goodbye to our Zoey. Our little pug bear, our baby girl, who stole our hearts with her rolly ball of wrinkles.
We’ll miss those all-night snores. The big curious eyes. The morning food dance. The barking at everything and nothing, for attention, perhaps, or to let everyone know there’s a pug in the house. We’ll miss our morning walks. How pretty she was when she got dressed up, the star of the show. The way she wants to be near you but not on you, following you from room to room just to be close. Her old-man groans in the morning, like she wants food but she doesn’t want the hassle of getting up. Our morning breakfast taco runs, and how on seeing her the drive-through person would always gasp with delight and offer her a treat.
Our Zoebear, our old girl, our snuggle pug, our love pug, how much we’ll miss you, and are so glad to have had you for 3 and a half years. Our only regret is that we didn’t have longer.
Goodbye sweet girl, until we meet again.
