Wall-E (AKA Lucas)

September 22, 2016Our StoriesBy Pug Rescue of Austin

My husband and I have been going to Pug Rescue events since we got our first pug, Artoo, in fall of 2014. And about a year ago in summer of 2015 we went through the adoption application process so that we could start the search for a new sibling.
I helped with transporting a few pugs for PRA and fell more and more in love with the idea of adding another pug to our family, and with adopting them from PRA. Our current pug is not even 2 years old yet and has tons of energy, so we knew we wanted some his age or younger that could keep up. We went through a couple meet and greets with potential adoptees, but just never found anyone that really fit with Artoo. So we decided to just hold off on the search and see where life took us.
About a month ago Terrie sent me an email late one night saying that they had gotten a little 10 week old in, named Lucas, and they thought he would be perfect for us! So we met up with he and his foster mom, Trina, at his vaccination appointment with Dr. Signe and fell in love immediately! We brought him home that day for a trial visit and the rest is history.
He loves his big brother, Artoo, and in keeping with the theme of sweet little robots, he has now been renamed Wall-E! They get along so well and will literally play together until they both fall over asleep.
Wall-E was an unexpected, but much loved addition to our family. He’s a true daddy’s boy, a constant climber and obsessed with giving his big brother kisses.
We truly love our little man and are so thankful for Pug Rescue’s help in the process!
