We brought Ty to our home for a trial visit on Monday, December 21, 2014 to see if he and our other 2 senior pugs (Bunker & Bogie) would get along. It was apparent from the get go that all could live well together.
We knew that Ty was blind but found out quickly that he was also deaf. That did not discourage us nor did it change our hearts; we were In LOVE! You see…our Caddy girl went to heaven 4 years ago and since then there has been a void in our family. When we realized that Ty was still available and had been with PRA for almost 2 years, we knew that he could be the missing link. And we were right, on his first day with us, we immediately noticed that he looks and acts just like our Caddy girl; there was no taking this baby boy back!
We have found that he has a few little quirks… for one, he has a bed time of 9 pm which we were forewarned about by his foster mom (Caryn). We don’t have to look at a clock to know that it is 9 pm or very close to it as he goes down for the count…every night, like clock work and it’s kind of funny! LOL
He has figure out his way around the house just fine; know exactly where his food & water bowl are at; knows how to get to mom’s office and immediately knows when dad is home (he has a keen sense of smell). He is starting to give us puggie kisses and we get the sense that he knows we are his family. He LOVES sitting on our laps!
It’s been 2 1/2 months since Ty came home, we are so happy that we have our Furever family!
We are so grateful to Pug Rescue of Austin for everything that they do and especially for connecting us with TY.
Many thanks & love,
John, Laura, Ty, Bunker & Bogie Goodnight
