We are very excited to add Sweetie to our family. You are right, she stoly my heart from the moment Signe put her in my arms when I picked her up from Westlake. She is a special girl! We have fostered for a while now and were always sad when our foster pups left us, but happy they found their forever homes. We have 2 pugs already and certainly were not looking to add to our brood. When I got the call about fostering Halle and found out she was a special needs dog with lots of daily medications and drops–blind, deaf, ear infection, bladder infection, neglected in a hot garage, malformed femurs that didn’t fit into the hip sockets and a dislocated knee–I was a little nervous to pick her up as we have only had healthy fosters in the past. From the moment I held her and her little tail just curled up and wagged, I was smitten. Nobody told Sweetie she’s had a hard life or has trouble getting around.
She is such a happy, sweet, loving pug. Her favorite time is feeding time and she jumps straight up and down like a pogo stick with a big grin waiting for her food bowl to be put on the ground. She has learned the layout of our house and backyard and gets around like she’s lived here all her life.
She is always by my side, or sitting on my feet when I work. She follows me everywhere–even if she is sleeping and senses me move, she gets up and goes where I go. We couldn’t be more grateful to PRA for rescuing this little darling from the hot Texas garage where she was left. Her tenacity, strength, and loyalty are inspiring and fill us with such joy. Thank you for making this pug love connection — we couldn’t be happier to add her to our family.
Thank you again for everything!
