Hey ya’ll! Remember me? It’s Smudge. Well, now I go by Smudgee. My new mom Norma said I am just too small and cute to be called Smudge so she added an extra e and calls me Smudgee and that’s what she put on my new name tag. Can’t wait to show it off at the next event. When my new mom applied to PRA, she was going through a really hard time because her baby at the time (that would be my brother) was real sick and was going to leave her real soon. She knew she was going to be really sad missing him, so she decided to look for me. When she found me, she was happy but not too sure because I am not like my brother was and she thought I had big shoes to fill. During Memorial Day weekend, she went out of town and I stayed with my foster mom Melissa and foster dad Robert. When Mom came back, she knew I would stay with her forever. Foster mom and dad bought me a t-shirt while mom was away and it says ‘who rescued whom’ and when Mom read it she said that I am the one that rescued her. You see, she told me that I rescued her from tons of sadness and then she said that I did not ever have to worry about filling anyone else’s shoes–all I need to do is be my cute, happy self and I will fill my own shoes. Ever since then, we have been inseparable and sooooooooooo happy. Here [is a new picture] of me and Mom. Oh, and guess what else? I also have a Dad. His name is Gene. He is Mom’s fiancee’/S.O. and I will meet him in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait.
Thank you so much PRA for all the great care you gave me and for helping me find my new FUR-ever family and home.
