**Ribgy has had a history of behavioral issues – he is currently being seen by a specialist but his future family will need to be patient with him and willing to work with his quirks. Please contact us for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org. His adoption fee is waived.**
Hi, my name is Rigby. I’m a seven years old, pug/beagle mix.
My fur coat is just like a pug, but I’m tall and not so wrinkly. I am a very loving boy. I know lots of commands like sit, lay down, heel, drop it, and out, which lets me know I should back up from the area I’m in. I’m a quick learner and eager to please, which made it really fun when my foster mom taught me to roll over!
I love going for walks, and tossing my stuffed squirrel around. I’m pretty mellow and spend most of my day lounging around on my bed. I like to play with other dogs in the park, but it’s probably best if I’m an only dog. I need a forever home with a family that doesn’t have small children because I can sometimes be a rascal. Young children don’t understand that I don’t like to be handled roughly and they might not recognize the signs that I’m getting upset.
I would love a companion that I can go to work with or that works from home since I’m used to being with my foster parents all the time because they’re allowed to have me at the office. However, I do just fine on days when I have to stay home. When it’s time to go to bed, just say kennel and I’ll go right in and cuddle up in my blanket.
My foster mom reports that I’m doing great and my behavior is very manageable. She says that I’m an awesome dog and just need the right family that will provide leadership and recognize my loving quirks!
