When we first decided to adopt a dog a little over a year ago, we didn’t have any expectation of adopting a pug. We knew that we wanted a relatively small, quiet dog that would prefer cuddles to jogging, and at the shelter this description encouraged the adoption coordinator to introduce us to a brindled pug mix that had just arrived. It was love at first site! As you yourselves probably know, one pug is never enough, so after a year with our little guy, we decided it was time to progress to a grumble.
We began a trial visit with Jordan just before Christmas 2016, and she took over our home from the moment she arrived. Though she is smaller and older than our other dog, she’s definitely in charge. She likes to nap and cuddle in front of the TV, unless there is a dog or horse on the screen (or the sound of a door bell ringing). She loves to go for walkies, and she has a very good nose for finding scraps of food on any route we take. We are so happy to have her in our family! Many thanks to Pug Rescue of Austin for caring for pugs like Jordan and helping them find homes!
