In the spring of 2012, Austin Pug Rescue asked if I could foster an incoming pug surrendered from a breeder in Waco. He was underfed with bald spots in his fur and – being unneutered – fairly aggressive about marking his territory. Not cool little dog! But sure enough this little pugster worked his way into my heart with his big grin and little snorts – so much so that when he had his first home visit I broke into tears to see him go! Now, Bowie spends his day lounging on fluffy couch pillows, chasing his big sister Iggy around the house (or getting chased) and ensuring he gets a full regime of daily pets and cuddles. Perhaps the best way to describe Bowie comes from a report card from the doggie daycare he and Iggy attend sometimes:
Bowie can be a spaz but we love him.
