Happy Tails – Sesame
Anita came into rescue when I got a call from my hair stylist/friend. Another stylist in his salon received a pug from someone who was giving her away. My stylist/friend was so upset by her condition that he called me on a Friday night, and I picked her up on Saturday. That Monday Anita went to WLAH, and from there began her road to recovery. Thanks so much as always to Signe who was on the phone with me during that first weekend to help with getting Anita some relief before she went in to see her.
Anyhow, I was smitten with her from the first day, as she was so sweet and loving in spite of her condition. Also, the timing was noteworthy, as I had just lost my mother three weeks before. Thus, we named her after my Mom Anita. I feel like she was meant to be with us, and it’s a novelty to have a pug follow ME around for a change.
She’s absolutely adorable, and is happy to snuggle with any of the other pugs, especially Timmy who’s always a stationary target. Joe and I are in love, and she loves right back. The pics show how far she’s come and Anita claims her snaggle tooth smile is her trademark!
